2D patches use flat, separated colour levels. 3D patches use rounded, raised or recessed moulding for tactile depth. Both techniques can be combined in one design.
Sew-on is a dependable permanent option, hook-and-loop suits removable patches, adhesive works for selected clean surfaces, and magnetic backing suits suitable display applications.
